Visitor Center Remodel

Opening this Fall

As you may have read in the spring issue of the Gardens’ Member Newsletter, work is scheduled to begin soon on a Visitor Center Remodel to move and improve the entrance to the Gardens, and the Garden Gift Shop.

Improvements will be made to handicap accessibility from the parking lot, a front porch will offer much needed shade, and seating for guests as they prepare for their visit. New plantings will give the entrance a refresh. In the fall, visitors will once again enter the Gardens through the zaguan and along the Welcome Path.

In preparation for this project, the Garden Gift Shop has been relocated to the Education Classroom and is keeping summer hours, 7:30am – 3:30pm. The Gardens’ Green Shop next to VASA Fitness (on the corner of Grant and Alvernon) is unaffected by these changes.
